THE COMPANY
Sign language is the natural language of a large percentage of Deaf and Hard of Hearing citizens. In their everyday life and in all aspects of their lives, they communicate and express themselves through it. However, sign language is a different way of communication, which is lacking in spoken and written language. Sign language is not a translation of (written or spoken) Greek with signs. Although the spoken and sign languages of each country have common characteristics and convey the same information, their means of expression differ significantly.
There have been very few accessibility efforts by public and private bodies so far. The coverage they offer is limited to a seven-minute newscast in sign language and most Greek series do not offer the option of custom subtitles.
That’s why we offer a broad spectrum of services to cover the deaf and hard of hearing audience’s needs, we work with public and private bodies that want to get serious about accessibility and we offer a comprehensive website with informative articles on a variety of topics with simultaneous interpretation by professional interpreters.
